Addition to Parish COVID Safety Plan

DIRECTIVES TO BE FOLLOWED FOR DRIVE IN MASS

  1. Parishioners are allowed to leave their vehicles “to use washroom facilities” as long as they “comply with the physical distancing requirement if outside their vehicle” (Order of the Provincial Health Officer, Gatherings and Events – December 9, 2020, pp.12-13);
  2. In our parish you may use the washroom of the Immaculata hall. You may enter through the door near kitchen of the hall (pathway to the sea can and garbage bin)
  3. Communion will be distributed soon after the mass in front of the Immaculata hall entrance. The priest will have to prepare for this and you may have to wait in your car at this time. And then you have to drive in to receive your communion. The priest and the Extraordinary Eucharistic minister will approach your car once you arrive the spot and communion will be given at both sides of your car. Please sanitize your hands using your own sanitizer.
  4. Wearing Mask is Mandatory during the communion time. When the Priest/Eucharistic minister approaches your car lower your window, receive your holy communion and consume after raising your window. You should remove your masks only to consume the Holy communion. After this the Attendees make the Sign of the Cross and continue on their way or drive back to your spot and make your own prayer after Communion.
  5. The Priest distributes Holy Communion separately to each Attendee in the vehicle; the Blessed Sacrament should not be passed from one Attendee to another.
  6. To maintain a sense of reverence, no other conversation should take place during the Communion Rite (i.e., it is not a time for socializing).
  7. We encourage everyone to receive Holy Communion in the hand during this extraordinary time. Please extend your hands outside your window to receive Holy Communion.

Spiritual Communion Prayer of Pope Francis

“My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart … I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.”

Pope Francis prayed March 21 in his televised daily Mass from his residence in Vatican City.

Prayer during Coronavirus by Rev. Aruldhas Lucas, SAC

ULTIMUM - LAST RESORT PRAYER DURING CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

O! Almighty God, Our Loving Father, full of mercy and goodness, you have revealed yourself through your Son, Jesus, Our Lord and Saviour, who saved us from sin and punishment.

Jesus, you are the Saviour of the World. You have called us to be witnesses of your love and mercy to all nations. You have saved us through your birth, death and resurrection.  You have given us your Mother, Mary, as an example of obedience.

Merciful Lord, we are in fear and uncertainty with Corona virus Pandemic all over the world. We had gone far away from you. But now, we come before you with unworthiness, seeking forgiveness and mercy like the prodigal son, so that you will forgive us, protect us and heal us.

On behalf of the whole world, we beg you, have mercy on us.

Our Lady of Aparecida, Mary our Mother, there is nothing impossible before you. Intercede for us, for the healing and protection of your Son, Jesus, Our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
